Project funding

This research has been made possible by a major grant from HERA (Humanities on the European Research Area) and European Framework 7.  Without this funding and support a project such as PhotoCLEC would not be possible.

PhotoCLEC is one of series of European collaborative projects exploring aspects of cultural identity across Europe in comparative perspective. We have benefited greatly from interaction with other HERA-funded projects over the past 18 months.

The grant was made to a Joint Research Project team from The University of the Arts London (until May 2011) and then De Montfort University, Leicester UK, University of Bergen, Norway and the VU University Amsterdam.  We are also grateful to our institutions for their support throughout the project.
